Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Senior Resident posts will be based on the following process:

1. Application Screening: Applications will be screened for eligibility.
2. Written Screening Test (if applicable): If a large number of applications (more than five per post) are received, a written screening test may be conducted. The decision of the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur will be final in this regard.
3. Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the screening test (if conducted) or those who meet the initial criteria will be called for an interview.

Weightage: If a written screening test is conducted, it will carry 80% weightage, and the interview will carry 20% weightage in determining the final merit list.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: It is proposed that the minimum qualifying marks may be prescribed as 60% for UR/EWS candidates, 55% for OBC, and 50% for SC/ST candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed as Senior Residents in the Pay Band of ₹67,700/- (Level 11 of 7th CPC) with a Grade Pay as per the 7th CPC. They will also receive usual allowances, including NPA if applicable.

The pay scale is expected to range from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 per month, as per Level 11 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

• The appointment is initially for a period of 1 year, which may be extended up to 3 years based on performance and conduct.
