Air Force Agniveer Recruitment 2025: Apply Online Start
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for AGNIVEERVAYU Intake 02/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme.
Unmarried male and female Indian citizens can apply online from 11 July 2025 to 04 August 2025.
The selection process consists of three stages – an online written examination, physical fitness and adaptability tests, and a medical examination.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the required educational qualifications, age limit, physical standards, and medical criteria as specified in the notification.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 17.5 years
- Maximum Age: 21 years
- Candidates must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (inclusive).
- At the time of enrolment, the upper age must not exceed 21 years.

Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the post of Agniveervayu in the Indian Air Force will be conducted in three phases. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify in each phase as per the standards set by the Indian Air Force. The selection process is as follows:
Phase I – Online Written Test
This test is conducted based on the candidate’s educational background:
- For candidates from Science stream: The question paper includes subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and English.
- For candidates from Non-Science stream: The paper includes English, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- For candidates with both streams: They will be required to take the test for all the subjects mentioned above.
Phase II – Physical and Adaptability Tests
This phase evaluates the physical fitness and adaptability of the candidates:
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
- Adaptability Test I and II: These tests assess how well the candidate can adjust to the working environment and lifestyle of the Indian Air Force.
Phase III – Medical Examination
In the final phase, candidates undergo a comprehensive medical examination as per IAF standards. This includes checks for physical health, eyesight, hearing ability, and other medical parameters.

Salary, Allowances & Seva Nidhi Benefits
Pay & Allowances
1. Agniveervayu will receive a monthly salary of ₹30,000, with a fixed annual increment each year.
2. In addition, they will be eligible for:
- Risk and hardship allowances (as applicable)
- Dress and travel allowances
- Facilities like ration, clothing, accommodation, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) as per IAF rules.
Exit Benefits: Seva Nidhi Package
After completing the 4-year service period, Agniveervayu will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package, which includes:
- 30% monthly contribution by the Agniveer
- Matching 30% contribution by the Government
- Totaling around ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest)
