Note: Reservation for Women & PWBD is horizontal. Reservation for EWS and SC (sub-classification) is as per relevant Andhra Pradesh Government Orders. Reservation for BC-E Group is subject to court adjudication.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Agriculture: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Information Technology: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Legal: Bachelor’s degree in Law/LLB or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
  • General: Bachelor's degree in Banking, Commerce, Accounting & Audit from a recognized University/Institute.

Candidates must have completed and possess the passing certificate for their graduation. Proficiency in Telugu & English (Reading & Writing) is mandatory.

Age Limit:

Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.08.2026. Candidates must be born not earlier than 01.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2004 (both days inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability: 10 Years

Other Eligibility Conditions:

  • Candidates should not have undergone apprenticeship in any other organization or terminated their apprenticeship midway.
  • Candidates with one or more years of training or job experience after completing their educational qualifications are not eligible.

Period of Apprenticeship Training

The training period will be for One Year.

Place of Training

On-job training will be imparted at selected branches/Head Office of the Bank in Andhra Pradesh. The Bank reserves the right to allot candidates to any Branch/Head Office in the state.

Test of Local Language

Candidates who can provide proof of studying Telugu in 10th or 12th standard are exempted. Others will have to undergo a local language test during Document Verification. Failure to qualify will lead to disqualification.

Stipend

The monthly stipend will be ₹ 15,000/-. Out of this, ₹ 10,500/- will be the maximum Bank component and ₹ 4,500/- will be the maximum Government component paid directly via DBT. Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits.

Selection Procedure

The selection process involves the following steps:

  1. Registration on NATS Portal: All eligible candidates must register on the apprenticeship portal www.nats.education.gov.in with a 100% complete profile before applying to APCOB.
  2. Online Application: Eligible candidates can apply online on the Bank's website https://www.apcob.bank.in from 02.08.2026 to 11.08.2026.
  3. Scrutiny: Applications will be scrutinized by a committee.
  4. Merit List Preparation: A merit list will be prepared in descending order based on marks/percentage obtained in SSC (10th), 10+2 (Intermediate), and Graduation. Weightage is as follows: SSC: 10 Marks
  5. 10+2 (Intermediate): 10 Marks
  6. Graduation: 10 Marks
  7. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification at APCOB Head Office, Vijayawada. Any discrepancy found during DV will lead to immediate disqualification.
  8. Final Communication: Selected candidates will receive an email communication from APCOB.

Agreement of Training and Certificate

Selected apprentices must enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Upon successful completion of the training, a Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) will be granted by the National Council after passing a test.
