The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has released the official recruitment notification for the year 2026.
This recruitment drive is being conducted for Assistant Professor positions, under which a total of 220 qualified and experienced doctors will be appointed.

Educational Qualifications
For Clinical & Non-Clinical Posts
- Postgraduate Degree (MD / MS / DNB) in the concerned specialty
- Qualification must be from MCI / NMC recognized institutions
For Super Specialty Posts
- Postgraduate Degree (DM / MCh / DNB / DrNB) in the concerned super specialty
- Degree must be from MCI / NMC recognized institutions
Important Points
- Required qualification must be possessed as on 01 January 2026
- One year Senior Residency after PG is mandatory for Clinical and Non-Clinical posts
- Senior Residency is not required for Super Specialty posts
- Candidates who completed DNB from non-NMC recognized institutions must complete one additional year of Senior Residency
Essential Requirements
- Valid AP Medical Council Registration Certificate is mandatory
- Only local candidates of Andhra Pradesh are eligible
- Candidates who studied from 4th to 10th class in Andhra Pradesh are treated as local
- Candidates who migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh within 3 years from 02 June 2014 are also eligible
Desirable Conditions
- Doctors already working as Assistant Professors under the Director of Medical Education are not eligible
- No contract weightage will be given for regular service or contract service rendered before PG qualification
