The Chhattisgarh Karmchari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB), formerly known as Vyapam, has released the notification for Sahayak Shikshak (Assistant Teacher) Recruitment Written Examination 2026, under the Lok Shiksha Sanchalanalaya, Chhattisgarh. This recruitment drive, officially referred to as LSAT26, aims to fill a total of 2292 Assistant Teacher posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official CGSSB website. Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online at the time of filling the application form. As per Chhattisgarh Government rules, local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh who appear for the examination will get their examination fee refunded to the same bank account used for payment, after the declaration of the exam result.

How to Apply for CGSSB Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026?

1. Visit the official website cgssb.cgstate.gov.in.
2. Complete Profile Registration if not already registered.
3. Upload a recent photograph (50 KB to 100 KB, .jpg/.jpeg).
4. Upload a scanned copy of your signature (50 KB to 100 KB, .jpg/.jpeg).
5. Fill in the online application form for the LSAT26 exam.
6. Pay the applicable examination fee online.
7. Click the "SUBMIT" button to complete the application.
8. Download and print the submitted application form for future reference.

Application Correction Facility

Candidates can correct errors in their online application within 3 days after the application closing date (22 August 2026 to 24 August 2026). Basic profile corrections must be made in the Profile Registration section first.

CGSSB Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern

• Type of Questions: 100 Objective-type (multiple choice) questions.
• Marks per Question: 1 mark each.
• Total Duration: 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM).
• Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for a wrong answer or for marking more than one option.
• Unattempted Questions: No marks will be given.
• Mode of Answering: OMR sheet using a black or blue ball-point pen only.

Documents Required on Exam Day

• Printed copy of the admit card (single-sided printout of every page).
• One original photo ID proof: Voter ID Card / Driving Licence / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card.
• Black or blue ball-point pen.

Note: The admit card should be preserved even after the exam for future reference.

Exam Day Guidelines and Dress Code

• Reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam start time.
• Main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam (9:30 AM).
• Wear light-coloured, half-sleeve clothing (dark colours prohibited).
• Only slippers/chappals are permitted as footwear; shoes are not allowed.
• No jewellery allowed.
• Communication devices, electronic devices, watches, purses, scarves, belts, caps, etc., are strictly prohibited.
• Candidates cannot leave the exam room during the first and last 30 minutes of the exam.

Exam Centres

The exam will be conducted at 16 District Headquarters in Chhattisgarh, including Surguja (Ambikapur), Korea (Baikunthpur), Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Durg, Jagdalpur (Bastar), Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur Nagar, Kanker, Kabirdham, Korba, Mahasamund, Raigarh, Raipur, and Rajnandgaon.

Answer Key Objection Process

After the exam, CGSSB will release a model answer key. Candidates can raise online objections by paying Rs. 50/- per question. Objections without fee or submitted offline will not be accepted.
