Eligibility Criteria: Do You Qualify?
Candidates must meet all eligibility conditions as of the last date of online submission of applications (11-06-2026). Ensure your degree is a regular full-time course from a University/Institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in India. Rounding off percentages is not allowed; even 59.99% will be considered ineligible if 60% is required. Final year/semester/trimester students of academic year 2025-26 who expect their results by 31.08.2026 are also eligible to apply.

The upper age limit for General (UR) and EWS category candidates is 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per Government of India guidelines. There is no age bar for permanent employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries. The maximum age under any category shall not exceed 56 years as on 30-04-2026.

Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) Only
The selection process for CIL MT Recruitment 2026 consists of a Computer Based Online Test (CBT) only. There will be NO interview for final selection. The CBT will be of 3 hours duration (in one sitting) consisting of two papers of 100 marks each. There is NO penalty for wrong answers. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
