CSIR NAL Recruitment 2026: Walk-in for 89 Project Staff Posts

The CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru, a premier unit under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 13/2026/PS.

CSIR-NAL Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

A total of 89 Project Staff posts are available across various disciplines, including Project Assistant (PA-I, PA-II), Project Associate (PAT-I, PAT-I NET/GATE, PAT-II, PAT-II NET/GATE), Senior PAT, and Principal PAT. The positions span Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, Chemistry, Metallurgy, and Computer Science disciplines.

Note: These numbers may vary as per project requirements, and a panel of waitlisted candidates will be formed.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualification

Candidates must be Indian Nationals and should have already completed their qualifying degree/diploma (results-awaited candidates are not eligible). The essential qualifications vary by post:

• Project Assistant-I (PA-I): SSC/10th plus ITI in Fitter trade.
• Project Assistant-II (PA-II): Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
• Project Associate-I (PAT-I): Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (or Master's/Integrated Master's for some specializations).
• Project Associate-I (PAT-I, NET/GATE): Same as PAT-I, with a valid NET/GATE qualification.
• Project Associate-II (PAT-II): Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (or equivalent) with 2 years' relevant R&D experience, OR Master's/Integrated Master's in Engineering or Technology.
• Project Associate-II (PAT-II, NET/GATE): Same as PAT-II, with a valid NET/GATE qualification (some specializations also accept Master's in Science).
• Senior PAT: Bachelor's degree in relevant Engg/Tech with 3 years' R&D experience, OR Master's/Integrated Master's with 2 years' R&D experience.
• Principal PAT: BE/B.Tech with 3 years' experience, OR ME/M.Tech with a valid NET/GATE, OR Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all posts is 35 years as on the date of the Walk-in-Interview for the relevant post.

• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates, as per Government of India rules. Documentary proof is mandatory for claiming age relaxation.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive attractive monthly emoluments along with HRA as admissible:

• Project Assistant-I (PA-I): ₹18,000 + HRA
• Project Assistant-II (PA-II): ₹20,000 + HRA
• Project Associate-I (PAT-I): ₹25,000 + HRA
• Project Associate-I (PAT-I, NET/GATE): ₹31,000 + HRA
• Project Associate-II (PAT-II): ₹28,000 + HRA
• Project Associate-II (PAT-II, NET/GATE): ₹35,000 + HRA
• Senior PAT: ₹42,000 + HRA
• Principal PAT: Emoluments not specified in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the Walk-in-Interview. In case of a large number of applicants, the Selection/Screening Committee may conduct a written exam or apply other shortlisting criteria before the interview. A panel of waitlisted candidates will be maintained for one year.

How to Apply for CSIR-NAL Recruitment 2026 (Walk-in-Interview Process)

There is no online application for CSIR-NAL Recruitment 2026. Interested and eligible candidates must attend the Walk-in-Interview in person.

1. Download Application Form: Obtain the prescribed Application Form for Walk-in-Interview (Advt. No. 13/2026/PS) from the official CSIR-NAL website (www.nal.res.in) and fill it completely.
2. Report to Venue: Report in person at CSIR-NAL (RAB Meeting Complex, National Aerospace Laboratories), Adjacent to SBI NAL Branch, Kodihalli, Bengaluru – 560017, between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM on the specific date assigned for your post/specialization.
3. Documents Required: Bring the duly filled application form, a latest passport-size photograph, original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all educational qualifications, experience certificates, Caste Certificate (if applicable), valid NET/GATE score card (if required), and an Aadhaar Card or other Government-issued photo ID.
4. Candidates applying for more than one position must submit separate applications for each. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
