The University of Delhi (DU) has announced recruitment for 86 faculty positions, including Associate Professor and Professor roles, across nine departments. This is a significant opportunity for eligible candidates to join one of India's premier educational institutions.

• Associate Professor: 56 Posts
• Professor: 30 Posts

Total Vacancies:

86

Departments:

Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Genetics, Geology, Hindi, Linguistics, Operational Research, Philosophy, and Zoology.

Eligibility Criteria:

Associate Professor:

• PhD in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Master's degree with at least 55% marks.
• Minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience.
• A total research score of 75.

Professor:

• PhD in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Option A: Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and a total research score of 120.
• Option B: PhD with ten years of experience and significant contribution to knowledge.

Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates is applicable.

Salary:

Selected candidates will be placed in Academic Pay Level-13A for Associate Professor and Academic Pay Level-14 for Professor, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, along with admissible allowances.

Selection Process:

The selection process involves a two-stage approach:

1. Academic/Research score-based screening.
2. Presentation and interview by a duly-constituted Selection Committee.
