DRDO RAC Scientist ‘B’ Recruitment (Short Overview)
The Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) along with other Defence units like ADA, WESEE, CME, AFMC, and Selection Centres under Army, Navy, and Air Force HQs invites online applications for the post of Scientist ‘B’. This recruitment is open to graduate engineers and postgraduates in science, including final semester students.
- Pay Level: Level-10 (7th CPC) with a basic pay of ₹56,100/-
- Total Salary: Approximately ₹1,00,000/- per month (including allowances) for metro cities
- Job Locations: Various DRDO labs and Defence establishments across India
- ADA Posts: Selected candidates for ADA Bengaluru will be designated as Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ and are separate from DRDO

How to apply
Online Registration
Candidates must first register online on the official RAC website https://rac.gov.in.
Filling the Application Form
- After successful registration, log in before the closing date of the advertisement to fill out the online application form. Upload all the required documents such as educational certificates, caste certificate, etc.
Instructions for Government Employees
If you are working in a government department or government-owned organization, you must inform your employer (Cadre Controlling Authority - CCA) about your application.
- Obtain a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” or submit an “Intimation-cum-Undertaking” letter as per the guidelines.
- Upload this letter on the RAC website within the specified time.
- Carry a hard copy of the NOC or undertaking letter at the time of the interview.
- Applications without proper NOC or intimation may be rejected.
Application Fee
- General (UR), EWS, and OBC male candidates must pay a non-refundable online application fee of ₹100. No fee is required for SC/ST, Divyangjan, and women candidates.
Locking the Application Form
After completing the form, lock your application. Only locked applications will be considered. Download and save a PDF copy for your records.
Important Points to Remember
- Enter your GATE score carefully, as shortlisting will be based on it.
- Any incorrect details may lead to disqualification.
- Complete your application well before the deadline.
Deadline
The online application must be submitted by 4:00 PM (IST) on the 21st day from the advertisement publication date.
