The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Cell, Station HQ Chennai, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for various Medical, Para Medical, and Non-Medical Staff positions on a contractual basis. These positions are available across nine ECHS Polyclinics under its jurisdiction.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualifications, experience, and age criteria for the respective positions.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Medical Staff: MD/MS/DNB in concerned specialty with 3 years post-graduation experience (for Specialists), MBBS with 3 years experience (for Medical Officer), BDS with 3 years experience (for Dental Officer).
• Para Medical Staff: Diploma/BSc in relevant field with specified years of experience (e.g., DMLT for Lab Assistant, B Pharmacy/Diploma for Pharmacist, GNM for Nursing Assistant).
• Non Medical Staff: Retired Defence Officers (for Officer-in-Charge), Class 8th pass with driving experience (for Driver), Literate with experience (for Attendant/Safaiwala), Class 8th/GD Trade (for Chowkidar).

Age Limit:

• Medical Specialist/Radiologist/Gynaecologist: 68 Years
• Medical Officer/Dental Officer/Officer-in-Charge: 63 Years
• Lab Assistant/Lab Technician/Pharmacist/Nursing Assistant/Radiographer/Physiotherapist/Dental Asst/Tech/Hygienist: 56 Years
• Driver/Female Attendant/Safaiwala/Chowkidar: 53 Years

2. Fill the application form with a passport-size photograph.
3. Mention "Application for the post of ______" on the envelope.
4. Attach self-attested copies of PPO, Discharge Book, ESM Identity Card, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, educational certificates, registration certificates, experience certificates, etc.
5. Submit the application to: Station Headquarters ECHS, Fort Saint George, Chennai - 600009.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on an Objective Type Written Test on the relevant subject, Practical Tests (as applicable), and a Personal Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated via SMS/Email. Selected candidates will undergo 10 days of unpaid but mandatory On-Job Training (OJT) before contract signing.
