Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 31.07.2026)

• Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 67 years
• Senior Resident (Pre/Para-clinical): Not exceeding 50 years
• Senior Resident (Clinical): Not exceeding 45 years
• Medical Officer: Not exceeding 35 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Educational Qualification

• For Teaching Faculty: Qualifications must be in accordance with the latest guidelines and minimum standard requirements of the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI), as per Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025.
• For Medical Officers: A recognised MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Must have completed compulsory rotating internship.

All candidates must possess updated Medical Registration with the NMC or the concerned State Medical Council.

Salary Structure (Fixed Basic Pay + Allowances)

Allowances are admissible as per ESIC Headquarters norms. Non-medical officers are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).

Application Fee

The fee must be submitted on the date of the walk-in interview and is non-refundable.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on academic credentials and performance in the walk-in interview conducted by a duly constituted selection board. Results will be published on www.esic.gov.in, and appointment offers will be sent via e-mail.

How to Apply

This is an offline application process through walk-in interviews. Candidates must:

1. Download the prescribed application form from the official notification.
2. Complete the application form and bring it along with self-attested copies of all required documents and a checklist.
3. Appear for document verification between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the respective interview date at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha (Near Hotel Mayfair).
4. Only candidates whose documents are successfully verified will be permitted to appear for the interview.
5. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application forms, documents, and fees for each post.

• MBBS Mark Sheets, Attempt Details, and Degree Certificate

• State/NMC Medical Registration Certificate (updated)
• Proof of Publication(s)
• Experience Certificate
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Relieving/NOC Certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhaar Card
• Completion Certificate of ICMR/NMC approved Basic Course in Biomedical Research (if any)
• NMC-approved Revised Basic Course Workshop/Basic Course in Medical Education Workshop Certificate (if any)

Failure to produce any listed document will lead to disqualification from the interview.
