GESCOM Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Apply Offline for 275 Posts

Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM), a Karnataka Government Undertaking, has released the official notification for Apprentice recruitment under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (Apprentices Act, 1961) for the year 2026-27. A total of 275 vacancies have been announced for Engineering Degree (BE Electrical & Electronics) and Diploma (Electrical) holders.

• Last Date for Application Submission: 05 June 2026 (upto 5:00 PM)
• Training Year: 2026-27

Vacancy Details:

A total of 275 apprenticeship positions are available:

• BE Electrical & Electronics (Electrical Roster): 175 Posts (General Candidates: 118, Women Candidates: 57)
• Diploma Electrical (Electrical Roster): 100 Posts (General Candidates: 67, Women Candidates: 33)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: 18 to 40 years for UR candidates, 18 to 45 years for SC/ST candidates (as on the last date of application).
• Educational Qualification:
  • BE Apprentice: BE / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a State/Central Government recognized university/institution. Degree must be obtained after January 2022.
  • Diploma Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State/Central Government recognized polytechnic/institution. Diploma must be obtained after January 2022.
• Other Conditions: Must be able to read and write Kannada. Preference will be given to Karnataka state candidates. Differently-abled candidates are not eligible. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship or are currently employed/undergoing training are not eligible.

Stipend:

• Engineering Degree Holders (BE): Rs. 9000/- per month
• Diploma in Engineering Holders: Rs. 8000/- per month

Note: Apprentices will not be entitled to food, accommodation, or any other allowances. Completion of training does not guarantee employment.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted purely on the basis of merit derived from their marks in the qualifying examination (BE / Diploma). No written examination or interview is mentioned.

How to Apply:

Applications must be submitted offline only, either in person or by post. Online applications are not accepted. Candidates need to fill out the application form (self-written or typed) and attach self-attested copies of all required documents. The envelope must be superscribed with "For 2026–27 Apprenticeship Training - BE / Diploma holder".
