GPSSB Gram Sevak and Pashudhan Nirikshak Recruitment 2026 Notification Out

The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has released a recruitment notification for 612 vacancies for the posts of Gram Sevak (Class-3) and Pashudhan Nirikshak / Livestock Inspector (Class-3). Eligibility Criteria:

• Nationality: Indian Citizen
• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years. Maximum age varies by post and category (General Male: 35 years for Gram Sevak, 33 years for Pashudhan Nirikshak, with relaxations for women, reserved categories, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen up to 40-45 years).
• Educational Qualification: Gram Sevak: Bachelor of Rural Studies (except Home Science) / B.Sc.(Agriculture) / B.E.(Agriculture) / B.Tech.(Agricultural Engineering) / B.Sc.(Horticulture) OR Diploma in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agriculture Engineering / Polytechnic Diploma in Agriculture Co-operation, Banking & Marketing. Basic knowledge of computer applications and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both are required.
• Pashudhan Nirikshak: Three years Diploma in Animal Husbandry from a recognized University/Institution (Distance Learning not eligible). Basic knowledge of computer applications and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both are required.

Application Fee:

• General Category: ₹100/- + Service Charges (SBI e-Pay)
• SC / ST / SEBC / EWS / Ex-Servicemen / PwD: No Fee

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) / Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) – MCQ type examination. Final selection will be based on merit in the written examination.

Salary:

Newly appointed Class-3 employees will receive a fixed salary of ₹26,000 per month for the first 5 years. After 5 years, they will be placed on the regular pay scale as per Gujarat Government rules and the 7th Pay Commission.
