Age Limit (as on 31-07-2026)
- General Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NC: 3 years
- PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD): 10 years
Educational Qualification and Eligibility
- Engineering Graduation: Candidates must possess an Engineering Graduation in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation streams, recognized by the Board of Technical Education/UGC/AICTE or equivalent authority.
- Graduation Year: Candidates must have completed their engineering graduation on or after 01-09-2023. Those who completed earlier are not eligible.
- Aggregate Marks: UR/OBC-NC candidates: 60% aggregate marks
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates: 50% aggregate marks
Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
NATS Registration: Only candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) will be considered.
Prior Apprenticeship/Experience: Candidates with an existing apprenticeship contract with any other organization on the NATS portal or with one year or more of work experience are not eligible to apply.
Monthly Stipend
Selected Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-. This comprises Rs. 20,500 paid directly by HPCL and Rs. 4,500 paid to apprentices by the Government of India under the DBT scheme. HPCL will not provide housing assistance or any other allowance beyond this fixed stipend.
Selection Process
- Application Screening: Applications will be screened based on the merit percentage as per eligibility criteria and the number of training slots notified. Incomplete or ineligible applications will be summarily rejected.
- Document/Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document/certificate verification in a ratio of 1:5 against notified training slots. Communication will be via registered email. No TA/DA will be paid for this process.
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on candidates who report for verification and are found suitable.
- Apprenticeship Contract & Verification: Selected candidates must accept a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS website and submit a medical certificate and undergo police verification.

Important Instructions
