Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026

The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) has announced a recruitment drive for 390 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions in various subjects for government schools in Himachal Pradesh. This is a scheme-based, temporary appointment for 5 years.

Vacancy Details:

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years (as on 01-01-2026)
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification:

• For Teacher (Biology): Master’s Degree in Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Microbiology/Bio-Technology etc. (50% marks) with Botany & Zoology at Graduation level, B.Ed. (50% marks) + TET passed.
• For Teacher (Chemistry): Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry (50% marks). B.Ed. (50% marks) + TET passed.
• For Teacher (Physics): Master’s Degree in Physics/Electronics/Nuclear Physics (50% marks). B.Ed. (50% marks) + TET passed.
• For Teacher (Commerce): Master’s Degree in Accountancy/Financial Accountancy/Income Tax/MFC (50% marks). B.Ed. (50% marks) + TET passed.
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi & English.
• 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD of HP.
• Matric & 10+2 from HP School (except Bonafide Himachali).

Application Fee:

• All Categories: ₹ 800/- (₹100 Examination Fee + ₹700 Processing Fee)
• Correction Fee: ₹ 100/-

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification.

• Computer Based Test (CBT): 120 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (120 Marks). Duration: 1 ½ hours.
• Syllabus: Subject(s) up to the level of prescribed essential qualification, General Knowledge (including HP & Current Affairs), Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: General Category: 45%, SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters: 40%.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.

Honorarium:

Fixed Honorarium: Rs. 30,000/- per month (payable for 10 months in an academic year). This is a purely temporary, scheme-based appointment for 5 years.
