The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the recruitment notification for Agniveervayu Non-Combatant, Intake 01/2027, under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment is for the Hospitality and Housekeeping streams, offering support-staff roles across various IAF stations.

Vacancy Details, Age Limit & Qualification

Other Key Eligibility Conditions:

• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible; selected candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period.
• Minimum Height: 152 cm; Minimum Chest Expansion: 5 cm.
• Vision: 6/36 in each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye; refractive error not exceeding ±3.5 D including astigmatism.
• Dental: Minimum 14 dental points; candidates with dental implants or fixed/removable orthodontic appliances will be declared unfit.
• Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, except on the inner forearm, back of hand, or as per tribal custom.
• Hair/Beard: Only Sikh candidates may retain unshorn hair, beard, and moustache as per religious practice.

Job Profile / Streams

Candidates apply for one of the following two streams:

• Hospitality Stream: Duties include cooking, kitchen management, food presentation, safe storage of items, handling crockery/cutlery, laying tables, and serving food and water.
• Housekeeping Stream: Responsibilities involve cleaning floors, rooms, bathrooms; grass-cutting, gardening; washing utensils/clothes; and related tasks such as hair-cutting, ironing, or leather-item repair.

Pay, Allowances and Terminal Benefits

• Agniveer Package: Starts at Rs. 30,000/- per month in Year 1, rising to Rs. 33,000/-, Rs. 36,500/-, and Rs. 40,000/- by Year 4. Additional benefits include Risk & Hardship, Dress, and Travel allowances, along with ration, clothing, accommodation, and LTC as per rules.
• Seva Nidhi Package: A one-time terminal benefit of approximately Rs. 10.04 Lakhs on completion of four years (30% of monthly pay contributed by the candidate, matched by the Government).
• Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs during the engagement period.
• Post-Service: No entitlement to gratuity, pension, or Ex-Servicemen status after the four-year term. Up to 25% of each batch may be offered permanent enrolment as NC(E) based on performance.

IAF Agniveervayu Non-Combatant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Written Test (General English & General Knowledge)
2. Physical Fitness Test (Height Check, PFT-I run, PFT-II push-ups/sit-ups/squats)
3. Stream Suitability Test (task-based assessment for chosen stream)
4. Medical Examination

Written Test Pattern:

• Subjects: General English (15 marks) and General Knowledge (15 marks).
• Total Marks: 30 marks.
• Qualifying Marks: Minimum 5 marks required in each subject, and an overall minimum of 15 marks (50%) to qualify.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Standards:

• PFT-I (Run): 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes (extra time allowed at high-altitude locations).
• PFT-II (Exercises): 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats, each to be completed within 1 minute, with rest breaks in between.

Follow these steps to apply:

1. Download the blank application form from the "Application Forms" sub-tab under the "Agniveervayu Non-Combatant" tab on iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.
2. Fill the form in CAPITAL LETTERS, in English only, mentioning just one stream (Hospitality or Housekeeping).
3. Write your name, father's name, and date of birth exactly as per your Matriculation certificate.
4. Paste one self-attested passport-size colour photograph on the form and admit card.
5. Attach your Aadhaar copy, Class 10th mark sheet and passing certificate, character certificate, and experience certificate (if any).
6. Attach a self-addressed envelope with a Rs. 10/- stamp affixed.
7. Sign the PFT/Medical consent form yourself (if 18+) or have your parent/legal guardian sign it (if below 18).
8. Send the completed form by ordinary post or drop box to any one of the addresses listed in the official notification, ensuring it reaches on or before 17 August 2026.
9. Candidates submitting more than one application will have their candidature rejected entirely.
