Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 involves:

Preliminary exam marks will not be counted for final merit. Final Merit and Provisional Allotment will be based solely on Main Examination marks. The 200 marks from the Main Exam will be converted to 100 for allotment purposes.

Both Preliminary and Main exams have a negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions.

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates must choose a local language of the applied State/UT. If proficiency is certified by 10th or higher mark sheet/certificate, LLPT is not required. Otherwise, LLPT will be conducted after the Main Exam/Provisional Allotment but before bank joining. It is a qualifying test, and failure will lead to disqualification. For Rajasthan, the local language is Hindi.

IBPS Clerk Salary 2026

The initial Basic Pay for a Customer Service Associate is ₹24,050. The official pay scale is: ₹24,050-1,340/3-28,070-1,650/3-33,020-2,000/4-41,020-2,340/7-57,400-4,400/1-61,800-2,680/1-64,480. Allowances and other benefits will be applicable as per the concerned bank's rules.

  4. Securely save the generated Registration Number and Password.

  6. Upload your recent Passport Size Photograph, Live Photograph (webcam/mobile), Signature (black ink on white paper), Left Thumb Impression (black/blue ink on white paper), and Handwritten Declaration (in English, not in capital letters).
  7. Carefully select your State/UT and Bank Preference (cannot be changed later).
  8. Review all information in the preview and proceed to online payment of the application fee.
  9. After successful payment, save the E-receipt and print the submitted application form for your records. Do not send it to IBPS.
