The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has commenced online applications for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026. This recruitment, officially named CRP Customer Service Associates-XVI (CRP CSA-XVI), aims to fill Clerical Cadre posts in participating public sector banks across India. Eligible candidates can apply online from August 1 to August 21, 2026.

A total of 11,403 indicative posts are available, including 392 posts specifically for Rajasthan. Please note that the number of vacancies is indicative, as Union Bank of India's vacancies are yet to be reported.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on August 1, 2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years
• Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

Educational Qualification (as on August 21, 2026)

• A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The final result must be declared by August 21, 2026.
• Candidates must possess a valid Marksheet/Degree Certificate of graduation on the day of registration.
• Proficiency in Computer Operations/Language (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Computer/IT, or studied Computer/IT as a subject in High School, College, or Institute).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the local language of the State/UT for which the candidate applies.

Application Fee

Bank transaction charges for online payment are extra. A correction fee of ₹200 (including GST) will be applicable for using the application correction window.

Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 involves:

1. Online Preliminary Examination
2. Online Main Examination
3. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), where applicable.

Preliminary exam marks will not be counted for final merit. Final Merit and Provisional Allotment will be based solely on Main Examination marks. The 200 marks from the Main Exam will be converted to 100 for allotment purposes.

Both Preliminary and Main exams have a negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions.

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates must choose a local language of the applied State/UT. If proficiency is certified by 10th or higher mark sheet/certificate, LLPT is not required. Otherwise, LLPT will be conducted after the Main Exam/Provisional Allotment but before bank joining. It is a qualifying test, and failure will lead to disqualification. For Rajasthan, the local language is Hindi.

IBPS Clerk Salary 2026

The initial Basic Pay for a Customer Service Associate is ₹24,050. The official pay scale is: ₹24,050-1,340/3-28,070-1,650/3-33,020-2,000/4-41,020-2,340/7-57,400-4,400/1-61,800-2,680/1-64,480. Allowances and other benefits will be applicable as per the concerned bank's rules.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official IBPS website (ibps.in).
2. Navigate to the CRP CSA section and open the CRP CSA-XVI Apply Online link.
3. Click on 'New Registration' and fill in basic details like name, mobile number, and email.
4. Securely save the generated Registration Number and Password.
5. Fill in personal, academic, and category details in the application form.
6. Upload your recent Passport Size Photograph, Live Photograph (webcam/mobile), Signature (black ink on white paper), Left Thumb Impression (black/blue ink on white paper), and Handwritten Declaration (in English, not in capital letters).
7. Carefully select your State/UT and Bank Preference (cannot be changed later).
8. Review all information in the preview and proceed to online payment of the application fee.
9. After successful payment, save the E-receipt and print the submitted application form for your records. Do not send it to IBPS.
