Indian Army CSBO Grade-II Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

The Headquarters 2 Signal Training Centre, Panaji, Goa (Indian Army / Ministry of Defence, Government of India) has announced 190 vacancies for the post of Civilian Switch Board Operator (CSBO) Grade-II, Group 'C'. These vacancies include horizontal reservations for 12 PwBD posts and 20 ESM posts.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in handling Private Board Exchange (PBX) Board is mandatory. An Experience Certificate is required.
• Desirable: Fluency in spoken English and Hindi.
• Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 31-05-2026. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.

Selection Process

The selection process involves:

• Written Test: 100 Marks (Objective Multiple Choice Type) covering General Intelligence & Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness, General English, and Logic & Reasoning.
• Practical Test: Qualifying in nature to assess proficiency in exchange operations.
• Interview: Qualifying in nature.
• Medical Test: For shortlisted candidates.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs. 21,700/- + allowances (Level-3, Cell-1 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).
