Indian Coast Guard Group C Vacancy Details 2026

A total of 6 Group C civilian vacancies are open for recruitment:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Store Keeper Grade II: Class 12 pass with one year of experience in handling stores.
• Engine Driver: Matriculation with a Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver and two years of desirable experience as Sarang.
• Lascar: Matriculation with three years of experience in service on a boat.
• Civilian Motor Transport Driver: Class 10 pass with a valid driving licence for heavy and light motor vehicles, knowledge of motor mechanisms, and at least two years of driving experience.
• MTS (Peon): Matriculation with two years of experience as an office attendant.
• MTS (Chowkidar): Matriculation with two years of experience as a Chowkidar.

Age Limit:

• Store Keeper Grade II: 18 to 25 years
• Engine Driver, Lascar: 18 to 30 years
• Civilian Motor Transport Driver, MTS (Peon), MTS (Chowkidar): 18 to 27 years

Age relaxation will be provided as per Central Government rules. For SC candidates against reserved Engine Driver vacancy, five years relaxation. For OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates against reserved vacancies, three years relaxation. Government servants applying for Store Keeper Grade II and Lascar can apply up to 40 years.

Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Coast Guard Group C posts includes:
