Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), AOD Digboi Refinery has announced recruitment for 126 Trade and Technician Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for various streams including Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Secretarial, Accounts, and Data Entry Operator.

Vacancy Details

A total of 126 vacancies are available across 11 trade/discipline codes. The details are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidates must satisfy the nationality criteria as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973.
• Educational Qualification: Code 101/103: 3-year B.Sc. with Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
• Code 102: Matriculation with ITI in Fitter Trade (minimum 2 years duration) with Pass class.
• Code 104: 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engg./Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology/Refinery and Petrochemical Engg.
• Code 105: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
• Code 106: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engg. or Electrical and Electronics Engg.
• Code 107: 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engg./Instrumentation & Electronics/Instrumentation & Control Engg./Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engg.
• Code 108: 3-year B.A./B.Sc/B.Com.
• Code 109: 3-year B.Com.
• Code 110: Class XII pass.
• Code 111: Class XII pass with Skill Certificate holder in "Domestic Data Entry Operator."

Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved seats) are required. Qualifications must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute through a regular full-time course.

Candidates with awaited results, higher qualifications (BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent), or 1 year or more experience after acquiring the qualification are not eligible.

Age Limit

• General/EWS: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 24 years as on 30.06.2026.
• Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD candidates as per government rules.

Selection Process

Selection is purely merit-based. A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification and a pre-engagement medical fitness examination. There is no written test.
