Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Local Cadre: For Kalyana Karnataka local cadre posts, candidates must possess a valid local candidature certificate as per Article 371(J).

  • Candidates residing in Karnataka forest areas (notified nomadic/tribal communities): Up to 38 years

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹37,500 - ₹76,100 per month. National Pension System (NPS) benefits will be applicable.

  • SC / ST / Category-1 / Ex-servicemen: ₹500

Fee must be paid online and is non-refundable. An additional ₹100 is charged for each extra post/category selected within the same Kalyana Karnataka application.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: An offline OMR-based exam on General Studies and Mental Ability (100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes). Negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Shortlisted candidates (1:5 ratio) undergo height, chest, and weight measurements.
  3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature, no marks awarded. Candidates must clear prescribed run, jump, and shot-put standards.
  4. Medical Examination: Conducted by a Medical Board to assess vision, hearing, and overall physical fitness.
  5. Final Merit List: Prepared based on written exam marks of candidates who qualify PST, PET, and the medical test.
