Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree awarded by a University established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates awaiting final results can also apply provisionally.

Age Limit (as on application closing date)

• Minimum Age: 21 years for all candidates.
• Maximum Age: General Merit candidates: 40 years
• Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B candidates: 43 years
• SC / ST / Category-1 candidates: 45 years

Special Age Relaxation: An additional one-time relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit is applicable for all categories for this recruitment, as per Government Order No. ಸಕಇ 262 ಪಿಆರಇ 2025, dated 29-01-2026. Further relaxations are available for Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, and widowed/divorced women. Refer to the official notification for details.

Application Fee

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: An objective-type screening test (400 marks total, two papers of 200 marks each). Marks are not counted for final merit. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
2. Main Examination & Personality Test: Main Examination: Descriptive/conventional type, consisting of 5 compulsory papers (250 marks each) and 2 qualifying language papers (Kannada and English, 150 marks each). Minimum 35% in qualifying papers is mandatory. Total written exam marks: 1250.
3. Personality Test (Interview): Carries a maximum of 25 marks.
