The Madhya Pradesh Karmchari Chayan Mandal (MPESB), Bhopal, has released the rulebook for the Group-3 Sub Engineer, Cartographer, Laboratory Technician, and Other Equivalent Posts Combined Recruitment Exam 2026 (समूह-03 संयुक्त भर्ती परीक्षा-2026). This recruitment aims to fill Group/Class III technical posts such as Sub Engineer, Cartographer, Laboratory Technician, Technical Assistant, Surveyor, and Mineral Surveyor across various Madhya Pradesh government departments. Eligible candidates can apply online at esb.mp.gov.in from 18.08.2026 to 01.09.2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 1040 posts will be filled under this combined recruitment. Vacancies are distributed across nearly 90 Madhya Pradesh government offices and departments, including the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government Polytechnic Colleges, Indira Gandhi Engineering College Sagar, and the Office of the Chief Engineer, Rural Mechanical Services, among many others.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the educational/technical/professional qualification prescribed by the concerned demanding department's own departmental recruitment rules, as on the date of submitting the application. This qualification varies by post code and technical stream. Generally, a Diploma or Engineering Degree in the relevant trade is required.

Note: The Board does not verify educational qualifications/other certificates during the application process; verification is done by the concerned department during appointment. Eligibility in the computer-based online exam is therefore entirely provisional.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Minimum Age for General/Unreserved candidates: 18 years
• Maximum Age for General/Unreserved candidates: 40 years
• Maximum Age for MP-domicile SC/ST/OBC candidates, government/corporation/board/home guard employees, and women candidates (all categories): 45 years (includes 5-year relaxation)

No age relaxation is admissible for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates. Age relaxation for physically disabled/ex-servicemen candidates is as per Government of Madhya Pradesh orders.

Selection Process

Selection will be made through a single Computer-Based Online Exam of 200 marks, to be held from 06.10.2026 onwards.
