MPSC Group B Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Degree from a Statutory University or equivalent. Candidates in their final year are eligible, provided they pass by the Main Examination application deadline. Knowledge of Marathi is required.
- Age Limit: Assistant Section Officer: 18 - 38 Years
- State Tax Inspector: 18 - 38 Years
- Police Sub-Inspector: 19 - 31 Years (Age relaxation applicable as per rules)
Physical Standards (for Police Sub-Inspector only): Male: Height - Min 165 cm, Chest - Min 79 cm with 5 cm expansion.
Female: Height - Min 150 cm.
Nationality: Indian Citizen.

MPSC Group B Salary
- Assistant Section Officer: Pay Band S-16 (Rs. 48,900 - 1,42,400) per month + allowances.
- State Tax Inspector & Other Posts: Pay Band S-14 (Rs. 38,600 - 1,22,800) per month + allowances.
MPSC Group B Selection Process
- Combined Pre-Examination: Common preliminary exam (100 marks).
- Main Examination: For shortlisted candidates (400 marks).
- Physical Test: For Police Sub-Inspector only (100 marks, minimum 60 to qualify).
Final selection based on the combined merit of Main Examination and Physical Test (for PSI).
