Age Limit and Relaxation

Candidates must be minimum 18 years of age by the last date of online application. The maximum age limits vary by post (refer to the table above). Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India rules for reserved categories:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.
  • Other relaxations as per government norms are applicable.

Selection Process

For Deputy Director (Medical) & Junior Programmer:

The scheme and syllabus for the examination will be announced soon on the NBEMS website.

For Junior Accountant, Stenographer & Junior Assistant:

The selection process will consist of two tiers:

  1. Tier-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
    • Objective type test with 200 questions for a maximum of 200 marks.
    • Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours).
    • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and 50% for all others.
    • Syllabus: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension (50 questions each, 1 mark per question).
  2. Tier-II: Computer Knowledge/Skill Test
    • 100 marks, duration 75 minutes.
    • 5 candidates per vacancy will be called for Tier-II based on Tier-I merit.
    • Includes Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operations, Stenography (as per post requirement).
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and 50% for all others.

Note: No interview will be conducted for Group B and C posts.

Reservation

Vertical reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and horizontal reservation for PwBD/Ex-Servicemen will be applicable as per Government of India rules. Three (03) vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) across the group of posts.
