NEEPCO Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026: 7 Vacancies, Apply Online

Note: Courses must be approved by BTE/State Technical Education Board. Diploma courses through Distance Learning Mode are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum 30 years for UR/ EWS Candidates.
• Maximum 35 years for ST/SC Candidates (Inclusive of 05 Years Relaxation).
• Age calculation is as on 01-01-2026.
• For Ex-Serviceman Candidates, an additional 10 Years Relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be given over and above the Upper Age Limit indicated for UR/ EWS as well as ST/SC Category Candidates respectively.

Experience

Selection Process

The selection process for NEEPCO Junior Engineer positions will be based on a written test. The test comprises two parts:

1. Aptitude Test: This section will have 60 multiple-choice questions covering General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. It is qualifying in nature.
2. Technical Test: This section will have 40 multiple-choice questions based on the respective engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).

Each question carries 1 mark, and there is a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST candidates in both Aptitude and Technical tests.

The total duration of the written test will be 2 hours. Offer of appointment will be issued based on merit. No skill test will be conducted.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will undergo a training period of 2 years. Upon successful completion of training and regularization, they will be placed in the IDA pay scale of ₹ 29,300-3%-1,19,700/-.

The monthly emoluments will include:

• Basic Pay: ₹ 29,300/-
• Dearness Allowance (DA) on Basic Pay
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) at applicable rates (if Corporation accommodation is not provided)
• Cafeteria Allowance @ 35% of Basic Pay
• Location Based Allowance (LBA) @ 10% of Basic Pay
• Provident Fund contribution (12% of Basic Pay + DA)
• NEDCSS contribution (9% of Basic Pay + DA)

Other benefits such as Leave, Medical Benefit (for self, spouse, 2 children, and dependent parents), Performance Related Pay (PRP), Gratuity, Uniform, communication expenses, and furniture reimbursement will be admissible as per Company Rules.

The minimum monthly CTC is expected to be around ₹ 59,000/-.
