Northeast Frontier Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2026

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released an Employment Notice No. 03/2026 for 22 posts under the Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2026-27. This recruitment is exclusively for candidates with a valid Scouts & Guides qualification.

NFR Recruitment 2026 - Overview

Post Details

• Level-2 Posts (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-): 12 Vacancies
• Level-1 Posts (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-): 10 Vacancies

Age Limit (As on 01-07-2026)

Educational Qualification

For Level-2 Posts:

• Pass in 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (Relaxed for ST/SC and Ex-Servicemen).
• For Jr. Clerk cum Typist / Accounts Clerk cum Typist: Typing proficiency of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi.
• For Artisan (Technical Categories): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board along with an ITI certificate.

For Level-1 Posts:

• 10th pass along with an ITI certificate from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT or its equivalent.
• Alternatively, candidates holding a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT are also eligible.

Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification

• Must hold the rank of President Scout / President Guide / Rover / Ranger, OR be a holder of the Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB).
• Must have been an active member for the last 5 years (from 01-04-2019 onwards), proven by a "Certificate of Activeness" (Annexure-C).
• Must have attended two events at National Level or All India Railways level, AND two events at State level.

Division-Wise Distribution of Posts

2 posts are allotted per Railway Division across Tinsukia, Lumding, Rangiya, Alipurduar, and Katihar divisions.
