Educational Qualification

• Medical Practitioner: MBBS degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification, duly recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Counsellor / Psychologist: Post Graduation and Graduation in Psychology from a recognized University/Institute.

Selection Process

Terms and Conditions

• The empanelled consultants are required to visit NFSU, Goa Campus, as per the scheduled frequency: 03 days a week for Doctor (flexible) and 01 day a week for Psychologist (flexible).
• The engagement is purely temporary and on a consultancy basis. There will be no claim for regular appointment or absorption into any permanent post.
• NFSU, Goa Campus reserves the right to reject any or all EOIs without assigning any reason.
• The university reserves the right to terminate the services of the consultant at any point in time without assigning any reason if the performance is unsatisfactory.
• The contract is terminable by either side by giving one month's notice in writing, without assigning reasons.
• All consultations and records must be maintained confidentially.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

Medical Practitioner

• Function as Authorized Medical Attendant and provide medical consultation and prescriptions.
• Attend to employees on commuted leave and issue medical certificates.
• Examine and verify medical claims/bills for OPD/IPD reimbursement.
• Regularly review the health status of students and staff and maintain medical records.
• Advise on preventive healthcare measures and assist in health-awareness programmes.
• Provide emergency medical consultation during scheduled visits.
• Maintain appropriate medical records and documentation and facilitate referrals.
• Coordinate with the University/Welfare/Wellness Centre for health-related initiatives.
• Perform any other medical/healthcare-related duties assigned by the Competent Authority.

Psychologist / Counsellor

• Provide psychological counselling and support for personal, emotional, academic, and behavioural concerns.
• Conduct individual and group counselling and provide psychological guidance.
• Provide counselling support for stress, anxiety, examination pressure, adjustment, and interpersonal issues.
• Conduct psychological assessments using appropriate professional tools.
• Assist in mental-health awareness, wellness, and preventive programmes.
• Provide crisis intervention and psychological support and refer cases to specialized professionals.
• Maintain confidential counselling records and undertake follow-up of cases.
• Coordinate with medical practitioners, psychiatrists, and other professionals for referral and support.
• Perform any other psychological counselling/wellness-related duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
