Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering / IT or Equivalent or above from a recognized Board/University/Institute with a valid CCNP/CCNA Certification.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

• At least 1 (one) year of experience as a Network Support Engineer in Govt./University/Institution/reputed Firms.
• Skills in troubleshooting network-related problems.
• Experience in LAN Management and Network configuration.

Job Responsibilities

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization.
• Liaise with network device manufacturers for problem resolution.
• Arrange, install, and maintain network infrastructure in various Academic Blocks and Hostel Buildings, NIT Mizoram.
• Troubleshoot network-related problems.
• Address any other network-related issues that occur from time to time.

Period of Engagement

The duration of engagement will initially be for 1 (one) year. This period may be extended further based on performance review and the Institute's decision, after a mandatory break in service. It is important to note that contractual staff engaged under this notice will have no claim of permanency at any stage against regular posts.

Selection Process

Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves that they possess the minimum essential qualifications before applying. Mere possession of qualifications and experience does not entitle candidates to be called for the Selection Committee/Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview schedule, which will be held offline/physically. The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute’s website. No correspondence will be entertained regarding the reason for not being called for the interview or the outcome of the interview.

2. Fill in the application form with all the required details.
3. Ensure all supporting documents are self-attested and attached. Claims for educational qualifications must be supported by Marksheets (mandatory) and Certificates.
4. Remit the application fee online to the specified bank account.
