North Central Railway is recruiting for the following posts under the Cultural Quota for the year 2026-27:

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Intermediate or equivalent examination passed with 50% aggregate from any recognized Board/University. (The 50% marks condition is not applicable for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD candidates and those with higher qualifications like Graduation/Post Graduation).
- OR Passed Matriculation from a recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- For Technical Posts: Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT OR Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
Cultural Qualification
- Possession of a degree/diploma/certificate in the specified cultural stream (as per notified post and category) only from a Government Recognized Institution.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in the relevant field.
- Performances given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
- Prizes won at National level.
Age Limit
- The candidate should be aged between 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2027.
- Born not earlier than 01.01.1997 and not later than 01.01.2009.
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxable as per government rules:

Payment Mode: Online using internet banking or debit/credit cards/UPI. Bank charges will be borne by the candidates. Fee for ineligible candidates will not be refunded. Refund will be processed only for eligible candidates who actually appear in the written test.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the following criteria:
- Written Test (50 Marks): Objective type questions covering General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, and General Knowledge on Cultural Activities/Cultural Area. The paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and of 60 minutes duration. There will be negative marking (1/3rd of marks allotted for each wrong answer).
- Assessment of Talent in the relevant field (50 Marks): Practical demonstration (35 Marks)
- Testimonials/Prizes etc. (15 Marks)
The total marks for the assessment will be 100.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Matrix Level – 2, with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. Specific in-hand salary details will depend on various factors and allowances applicable at the time of joining.
