Vacancy Details:

A total of 255 vacancies (208 current + 47 backlog) are available for Category-II Stipendiary Trainee/Technician across 8 trades. These include reservations for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, UR categories, and 11 posts for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Eligibility Criteria (as on 29-06-2026):

Educational Qualification:

  • Plant Operator: HSC (10+2) or ISC with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. English must have been studied at SSC (10th) level.
  • Electronics Mechanic, Instrumentation Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder: SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science subject(s) and Mathematics individually, plus a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade. For trades with less than 2-year ITI duration, 1 year of relevant working experience after course completion is required. English must have been studied at SSC (10th) level.
  • Special Note (Covid-19): Prescribed percentage of marks at SSC (10th) will not apply to candidates who passed 10th in 2021 without marks due to Covid-19.
  • Project Affected Persons (PAPs): Relaxed criteria and 20% bonus marks applicable.

Age Limit (as on 29-06-2026):

  • General (UR) / EWS: 18 to 24 years (Born on or after 29-06-2002 and on or before 29-06-2008).
  • Age relaxations are applicable for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10-15 years), Ex-Servicemen, and other categories as per government norms. Maximum cumulative relaxation is 56 years.

Physical Standards:

  • Minimum Height: 160 cm
  • Minimum Weight: 45.5 kg
  • Note: Relaxable if medically fit otherwise.

Application Fee:

  • Male candidates (General, EWS, OBC): Rs. 100/- (Non-refundable)
  • Female / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / DODPKIA / NPCIL Employees: Exempted (No fee)

Stipend & Training Bond:

  • Stipend - Year 1: Rs. 20,000/- per month
  • Stipend - Year 2: Rs. 22,000/- per month
  • Book Allowance: Rs. 3,000/- (One time)
  • Training Duration: 2 years (24 months)
  • Post-Training Absorption Post: Technician/B - Pay Level 3 (Rs. 21,700/-); Approx. Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 34,720/-
  • Training Bond: Rs. 5,07,000/- for 5 years. Breach of bond requires repayment of total stipend plus book allowance received.
