Eligibility Criteria

1. Valid Score in GATE 2027

Candidates must have appeared in and qualified the corresponding paper of GATE 2027 as per the table below. The qualifying marks will be as declared by the GATE 2027 Organizing Body.

2. Essential Qualification

A full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the applicable discipline. Final Year/Semester students expecting results by 31.08.2027 are also eligible, provided they meet the minimum marks criteria up to the pre-final examination.

3. Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.03.2027. Minimum age is 18 years. Age relaxations are applicable for OBC(NCL), SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen/Victims of riots as per Government of India directives.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- is required for candidates not exempted. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Salary and Benefits

POWERGRID offers an attractive salary package along with various allowances and employee benefits. During the one-year training period, selected candidates will receive a salary under the specified IDA pay scale. After successfully completing the training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the E2 scale.
