The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (SSSB Punjab) has released Advertisement No. 03 of 2026, inviting online applications for 681 Craft Instructor posts under the Technical Education and Industrial Training Department (Industrial Training Wing), Government of Punjab.

These positions are spread across 52 different trades, catering to both Degree/Diploma qualification holders and NTC/NAC certificate holders. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 10th July 2026 to 30th July 2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 681 Craft Instructor posts are available, categorized into two annexures based on qualifications:

The posts cover 52 different trades. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for a detailed category-wise and trade-wise breakup.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational and Technical Qualification

All 52 trades require a minimum of 10th pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized School or Board. Beyond this, technical qualifications vary:

Pathway 1: Degree/Diploma Trades (Annexure-A)

• A relevant Bachelor's Degree/B.Voc in the corresponding engineering discipline from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution, plus one year of relevant industry or teaching experience; OR
• A 3-year Diploma in the corresponding discipline from an AICTE-recognized institution or relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from the Director General of Training, plus two years of relevant industry or teaching experience.
• Note: Degree/Diploma holders must acquire the National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in their respective trade within three years of appointment.

Pathway 2: NTC/NAC Trades (Annexure-B)

• A National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the corresponding trade from a recognized institution;
• A National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the corresponding trade; and
• Three years of relevant experience in an organization registered under the Factories Act, 1948, or teaching experience in a government or government-recognized institution.

Additional Mandatory Conditions:

• Punjabi Language: Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or an equivalent Punjabi language examination.
• Cut-off date for qualifications: All qualifications must be completed on or before 30-07-2026.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• General Category: 18 to 37 years
• SC and BC candidates domiciled in Punjab: Maximum 42 years
• State/Central Government employees: Maximum 45 years
• Widows, divorcees, and certain other categories of married women: Relaxed up to 40 years
• Ex-servicemen domiciled in Punjab: As per rules (service period deducted from actual age; relaxed age must not exceed the post's upper age limit by more than 3 years).

Salary

Selected Craft Instructors will receive a salary of Rs. 35,400/- (Level-6) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission scale, along with applicable allowances.

Application Fee

Fees are non-refundable. No fee waiver or concession will be granted.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination: Objective Type (MCQ) written exam with negative marking (¼ mark for each wrong answer).
2. Merit List: Based on written exam marks. Tie-breaking rules apply (older age, higher educational qualification percentage, higher matriculation marks).
3. Counseling & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
