Vacancy Details

A total of 121 vacancies have been announced for the post of Lecturer (Special Education). Vacancies are distributed category-wise including General (UR), SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS with horizontal reservations for Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PH), and other special categories. Reservation benefits apply only to bonafide residents of Rajasthan State.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 30-06-2026)

  • Educational Qualification: Post Graduate or equivalent examination recognized by UGC in one of the following subjects: English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sociology, Music.
  • AND B.Ed. (Special Education) OR B.Ed. with two-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

RCI Registration: Candidates must be permanently/provisionally registered with RCI before the date of recruitment examination. RCI registration number is mandatory in the online application form.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years as on 01-01-2027.

Nationality / Domicile: As per Rajasthan State Government rules. Reservation benefits only for bonafide residents of Rajasthan.

Knowledge of Hindi: Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is required.

Age Relaxation

Age will be calculated as on 01-01-2027. Various age relaxations are applicable as per Rajasthan State Government rules:

  • Male candidates of Rajasthan State SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS: 5 years
  • Female candidates of Rajasthan State SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS: 10 years
  • Female candidates of General (Unreserved) category: 5 years
  • Widow / Divorced women: No upper age limit (subject to max service age 60 years at appointment)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 10 years relaxation (max 50 years)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 5 years relaxation

Selection Process

The selection for Lecturer (Special Education) posts will be made through a Competitive Written Examination of 450 marks, followed by Document Verification.

Stage 1 - Written Competitive Examination

The examination will consist of two papers, both objective type with multiple-choice questions. Negative marking of 1/3rd marks will be applicable for every wrong answer.
