RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 6238 Posts
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Technician posts, with a total of 6238 vacancies announced.
The online application process for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 started on 28th July 2025, and candidates can apply until 7th August 2025.
Applicants must possess the educational/technical qualifications as mentioned in the CEN notification, which includes ITI or Diploma in the relevant trade.

Educational qualification
- Candidates must possess the prescribed Educational/Technical qualification as mentioned in the CEN from a recognized Institute/University as of 28.07.2025.
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in place of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI for Technician posts in Pay Level-2, unless specified.
- Graduate Act Apprentice is also not acceptable in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary along with allowances and other benefits as per rules. The salary details for both technician posts are as follows:

Selection Process
The RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in three stages. All candidates must qualify in each stage for final selection.

Exam Pattern
Understanding the exam pattern is important for preparation. The CBT exam pattern is different for Technician Grade 1 Signal and Grade 3.
RRB Technician Grade 1 Signal CBT Exam Pattern
- 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Read the Official Notification
- Carefully read the detailed advertisement to check your eligibility, age limit, qualification, and other important instructions.
Register (New Registration)
- Click on the “New Registration” link
- Complete the registration by filling in details like name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth
- You will get a registration number and password – keep it safe.
Login and fill the application form
- Login using your registration number and password
- Fill in the application form with personal, educational and other required details
Upload Documents
- Upload scanned passport size photo, signature, and educational certificates
- Upload all documents in JPG/JPEG/PDF format as mentioned in the notification.
Pay the application fee
- General/OBC: ₹500
- SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250
- Pay online (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking)
Preview and final submit
- Check the entire form
- If everything is correct then click “Final Submit”
- After submission, take a print out of the application form
Keep the application number safe for future use
- Keep the registration number and application form safe for further selection process (like exam, admit card etc.).
