  • YP-3 - Vibration Analyst and Rotor Dynamics Expert: 42 years
  • YP-2 - Blast Furnace Process Expert: 38 years
  • YP-1 (all roles): 35 years

Educational Qualification & Experience (Role-wise)

  • Vibration Analyst & Rotor Dynamics Expert (YP-3): B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) + Vibration Analyst Cat-II Certification; 10 years experience in Condition Monitoring, 3 years in an Integrated Steel Plant.
  • Blast Furnace Process Expert (YP-2): B.E./B.Tech (Metallurgical); 6 years experience in Blast Furnace operations, Integrated Steel Plant.
  • Civil / Structural Design Engineer (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech (Civil); 3 years experience as Design Engineer in Structural/Civil works.
  • Engineer, Electrical & Automation (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics); 3 years experience in Electrical Maintenance & Automation, steel/rolling mills.
  • AI Engineer (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA; 3 years experience in Python, AI/ML & Deep Learning.
  • Project Execution, Mechanical (YP-1): B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical); 3 years experience in structural/utility erection, project execution.

All experience must be gained after the qualifying degree in a Public Sector Undertaking, Government Organisation, Public Limited Company, JV of PSUs, or a private firm with a valid CIN.

Salary / Monthly Retainership Fee

  • YP-1: Rs. 70,000/- per month
  • YP-2: Rs. 1,00,000/- per month
  • YP-3: Rs. 1,40,000/- per month

An annual performance-linked increment of 4%, 7%, or 10% of the monthly fee applies based on Centralized Performance Committee (CPC) recommendation. Additional benefits include residential accommodation, medical facility, travel entitlements, and communication expense reimbursement.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for all categories (YP-1, YP-2, YP-3). The fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or ATM-cum-Debit Card. Bank charges will be borne separately by the candidate.

Selection Process

  1. Screening of applications: For eligibility criteria.
  2. Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interaction (PI): For most posts.
  3. Personal Interaction (PI) only: For some specific posts.
  4. CBT Structure: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in 90 minutes – 50 on Technical/Professional knowledge and 50 on Aptitude.
  5. Shortlisting for PI: In a ratio of 1:3 based on CBT merit.
  6. Final Merit List: Based on CBT and Personal Interaction with a weightage of 80:20.
  7. For PI-only posts: Minimum qualifying mark is 50%.
