Sambalpur University has announced vacancies for the post of Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) for the year 2026. A total of 117 posts are available. The recruitment will be done through a walk-in interview process.

Vacancy Details:

Eligibility Criteria:

As per UGC Guidelines, 2018. Candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree with a good academic record. UGC NET qualification is preferred. A Ph.D. Degree is preferred for PG courses. In case of non-availability of candidates with Ph.D./NET qualification, candidates with a Post-Graduate Degree with a good academic record will be considered.

Age Limit:

Retired Faculty may continue till 70 years of age.

Salary:

Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty): Rs. 1,000/- per class (with Ph.D., maximum 60 classes per month, total max Rs. 60,000/-); Rs. 750/- per class (without Ph.D., maximum 60 classes per month, total max Rs. 45,000/-).

Selection Process:

The selection process will be based on:

• General Career Assessment (30 Marks)
• Research Degree (20 Marks)
• Demo Class (15 Marks)
• Research Publications (15 Marks)
• Viva-Voce (20 Marks)

Walk-In Procedure:

Candidates are required to report at the venue as per the reporting time mentioned in the official notification. They must carry all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies, including ID proof, educational certificates, experience certificates (if required), and category certificate (if applicable). A duly filled application form (if required) should also be carried. Candidates are advised to verify their eligibility before attending the interview and reach the venue well in advance.
