SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026: Junior Associate Notification & Apply Online

State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the Clerical Cadre. This recruitment drive is specifically for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies, advertised under No. CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16. Vacancy Details & Educational Qualification

A total of 9218 posts for Junior Associate (Clerk) are available under this recruitment drive.

Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification. Final year/semester students can also apply provisionally, provided they submit proof of passing by 31 December 2026.

Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years

Candidates must have been born between 02 April 1998 and 01 April 2006 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories:

• OBC: 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

Additional relaxations apply for Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen and eligible widows/divorced women/judicially separated women as per official norms.

Salary Structure

The Junior Associate pay scale is ₹24,050–1,340/3–28,070–1,650/3–33,020–2,000/4–41,020–2,340/7–57,400–4,400/1–61,800–2,680/1–64,480. The starting Basic Pay is ₹26,730/- (including two advance increments for graduates). Total starting emoluments in a Metro city like Mumbai are approximately ₹46,000/- per month (including DA and other allowances).

Selection Process

The selection process comprises three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Specified Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) (wherever applicable)

Marks from the Preliminary Examination are only for shortlisting for the Main Examination and will not count towards final merit. Final merit will be based on marks obtained in the Main Examination, subject to eligibility verification and qualifying the LLPT.

Exam Pattern

There will be sectional timings, and 1/4th mark deduction for every wrong answer.

Main Examination

Separate timings for each test and 1/4th mark deduction for every wrong answer.

Local Language Test (LLPT)

Candidates who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th must qualify the LLPT after provisional selection. Those with 10th/12th certificates showing the local language as a subject are exempt.
