Reservation rules apply as per government norms, including horizontal reservation for women in certain posts and for special categories like Home Guard, Children of Police Personnel, NCC, and Ex-Servicemen.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.07.2026)

Educational Qualification:

• SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF): Any Degree from a recognised university. (SC/ST candidates: Passed Intermediate and appeared for 1st and 2nd year exams).
• SI (Communications): Diploma/B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Engineering, IT, or a Special Diploma in Electronics, or a 3-year B.Sc. Electronics.
• SI (PTO): Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering.
• Scientific Assistant (FSL): M.Sc. (I or II Division) with Physics/Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/Forensic Science in relevant discipline.
• PC (Civil), PC (AR), Fireman, Warders: Intermediate or its equivalent. (SC/ST candidates: Passed SSC and studied/appeared for both years of Intermediate).
• PC (Communications): SSC + ITI in relevant trades OR Intermediate (MPC) OR Vocational Intermediate in EET/ET.
• SCT Constable (Mechanics): SSC + ITI in Wireman / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Mechanic Diesel / Fitter.
• SCT Constable (Drivers): Intermediate OR SSC + ITI in Auto Electrician / MMV / Mechanic Diesel / Fitter, plus a valid LMV driving licence for at least 2 years.

Medical Standards:

Candidates must be in sound health, free from bodily defects. Specific visual standards (Distant Vision 6/6, Near Vision 0/5) apply. Colour blindness, squint, knocking-knees, flat feet, etc., are disqualifications.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026)

Age Relaxation:

• EWS, BC, SC, ST: Up to 5 years
• AP State Government employees: Up to 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen and NCC Cadet Corps Instructors: 3 years + length of service
• Widows, divorced women, judicially separated women (PC Civil & allied posts): Up to 42 years (SC/ST); up to 37 years (other categories)

Application Fee

Non-local candidates will be treated under the Open Category (OC) and must pay the OC fee rate.

Salary (RPS 2022)

• SI (Communications): ₹45,830 – ₹1,30,580
• SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF), SI (PTO), Scientific Assistant (FSL): ₹44,570 – ₹1,27,480
• All Constable posts, Fireman, Warder: ₹25,220 – ₹80,910

Selected candidates will receive a stipend during training and then be appointed to the regular time scale of pay.

Selection Process

The selection process varies by post group:

SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF) & PC (Civil), PC (AR), Fireman, Warders:

1. Preliminary Written Test: Two objective papers (Arithmetic & Reasoning, General Studies). Qualifying only.
2. Physical Measurements Test (PMT): Minimum height requirements.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run, 100m run, long jump. Qualifying for some SI/PC posts, marks for AR/SPF posts.
4. Final Written Examination: Four papers (English, Telugu/Urdu - qualifying; Papers III & IV count for merit).

SI (Communications) and SI (PTO):

1. Certificate Verification & PMT.
2. Qualifying PET (1600m run).
3. Written Examination: Three papers (English - qualifying; Arithmetic & Reasoning, Technical Paper - count for merit).

PC (Communications):
