SMC Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Each post has specific educational qualifications and age limits. Candidates must ensure they meet all conditions before applying.

Post-Wise Qualifications:

Director (Information Technology): Postgraduate degree in Computer / Electronics / IT Engineering with 9 years of relevant experience.
Departmental Enquiry Officer: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) with minimum 10 years of experience in Labour Court, Industrial Tribunal, etc. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi are required.
Administrative Officer: Postgraduate degree in any stream with 7 years of administrative experience in government/semi-government organizations.
Assistant Architect: B.E. (Civil) or Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) plus a postgraduate degree/diploma in City Planning / Regional Planning / Urban Design OR membership of Town Planners' Association. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi are required.
Senior Swimming Pool Instructor: Bachelor's degree and a 10-month regular Swimming Course from Sports Authority of India / Netaji Subhash Institute of Sports. First aid training certificate is mandatory.
Junior Swimming Pool Instructor: Bachelor's degree and a 6-week Certificate Course in Swimming from Sports Authority of India / Netaji Subhash Institute of Sports, with 5 years of swimming experience. First aid training certificate is mandatory.
Junior Lady Swimming Pool Instructor: Same qualifications as Junior Swimming Pool Instructor, for female candidates only.
Electrical Wireman: ITI Electrician OR Second Class Wireman examination pass with 3 years of experience as Electrical Wireman. Knowledge as Cable Jointer for HT/LT Switch Gear work is preferred.
