Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released a detailed advertisement for the recruitment of 404 Sportspersons as Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota for the year 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institute.
- Sports Qualification (Order of Preference): Represented India in International competitions, OR
- Medal winners in Senior/Junior National Championships, OR
- Medal winners in Khelo India Youth/University/Winter/Para Games, OR
- Medal winners in SGFI, OR
- Represented University in Inter-University Tournaments, OR
- Represented State School Teams in National School Games.
Note: Sports achievements of only the last 02 years (as on cut-off date) will be considered.
Age Limit
- Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- Age Relaxation: Un-reserved (UR): 5 years (up to 28 years)
- SC / ST: 5 + 5 = 10 years
- OBC: 3 + 5 = 8 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 + 5 = 8 years (after deduction of military service)
- J&K Domicile (1980-1989) / 1984 Riots Victims: Additional relaxation as per category

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in Two Stages:
- Stage-I (Priority Candidates - International & National Medal Winners upto 3rd Place): Documentation, Checking of Sports Achievements, Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), Review Medical Examination (RME) if required.
- Stage-II (Remaining candidates, if vacancies remain unfilled): Documentation, Field Trial / Skill Test (50 marks, minimum 60% qualifying), Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), Review Medical Examination (RME).
Physical Standard Test (PST) Requirements:
