The State Selection Board (SSB), Department of Higher Education, Odisha has released a recruitment notification for the post of Librarian in Non-Govt. Aided Colleges. A total of 225 vacancies are available for eligible candidates.

Vacancy Details:

A total of 225 vacancies for Librarian posts are announced across Non-Govt. Aided Colleges in Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Library Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India and a domicile of the State of Odisha.
• Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed Odia as a language subject in H.S.C. or equivalent.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years as on 01.01.2026
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen, 10 years for PwD, and 15 years for PwD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC.

Application Fee:

• General / SEBC: ₹500/-
• SC / ST / PwD: ₹200/-

Selection Process:

Selection will be based solely on a Written Test comprising 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) for 150 marks. The duration of the test is 2 hours. There is negative marking (0.5 marks deducted for each incorrect answer).
