Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 07 October 2026)
- For DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC, and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognised Board.
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (all other Departments/Ministries): 12th Standard pass or equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
- Candidates who have appeared for their Class 12 exam can also apply, provided their qualifying result is declared on or before 07 October 2026.
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2026)
Candidates must be between 18 to 27 years of age. This means candidates born not before 02 August 1999 and not later than 01 August 2008 are eligible. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories:

Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission:

Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS (Male) candidates. Women candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from fee payment.
Selection Process
The selection process involves a two-tier Computer Based Examination (CBE):
- Tier-I: Objective type, multiple-choice questions covering English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Duration is 60 minutes, with negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
- Tier-II: Conducted in two sessions on the same day, comprising four sections: Section-I (Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning & General Intelligence), Section-II (English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness), Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test, qualifying in nature), and Section-IV (Skill Test/Typing Test for DEO and LDC/JSA posts respectively). Negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer in Sections I and II. Qualification in all sections is mandatory.
