Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan.

Educational Qualification

SI in Delhi Police / SI (GD) in CAPFsBachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
SI (Fire) in CISFBachelor's degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; OR Matriculation plus a 3-year diploma in relevant Engineering fields.

Note: For SI in Delhi Police (Male), a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) is mandatory on the date fixed for PE&MT.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)

  • All posts except SI (Fire) in CISF: 20–25 years (born not earlier than 02.08.2001 and not later than 01.08.2006).
  • SI (Fire) in CISF: 18–30 years (born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008).

Note: Negative marking of 0.25 for Paper-I and 0.50 for Paper-II. NCC certificate holders receive bonus marks.

Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET)

PST involves height and chest measurements (varying by post/category). PET includes races, long jump, high jump, and shot put for male candidates. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.

Medical Examination & Document Verification

Qualified candidates will undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME) followed by Review Medical Examination (RME) if required. Document Verification will be conducted before final result declaration.

Indicative Syllabus

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, problem-solving, coding-decoding, series, Venn diagrams, etc.
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: Current events, History, Culture, Geography, Economy, Polity, Science.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Number systems, percentage, ratio, averages, interest, profit & loss, time & work, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, data interpretation.
  • English Comprehension: Error recognition, fill in the blanks, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, comprehension.

Candidates must complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website, https://ssc.gov.in. After registration, log in and apply online for the SSC SI in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2026. Applications can also be submitted via the 'mySSC' mobile application.
