Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of notification. Each of the 56 posts has specific requirements, generally a Diploma, ITI/National Trade Certificate, or a Degree in the relevant engineering or technical subject. A few examples are:

• Mines Foreman: Diploma in Mining Engineering with Mines Foreman Certificate.
• Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-II: Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering (3-year course) + valid driving licence.
• Junior Training Officer: SSLC pass + Degree/Diploma/National Trade Certificate in specific trade.
• Assistant Agricultural Officer: Higher Secondary pass + 2-year Diploma in Agriculture.
• Road Inspector: ITI Certificate in Civil Draughtsmanship (preference to Diploma in Civil Engineering).

Adequate knowledge of Tamil is also a mandatory requirement.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026, or 01.08.2026 for JTO posts)

• Minimum Age: 18 years for most posts; 21 years for Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade-II and Junior Training Officer posts.
• Maximum Age: Varies significantly by post and category.
