The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released Advertisement No. A-1/E-1/2026-27 for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2026. This is a golden opportunity for eligible candidates to join various government departments in Uttarakhand.

Online applications are invited for a total of 67 Group-B posts across 16 different positions. These positions span departments such as Personnel & Vigilance, Home, Finance, Urban Development, Rural Development, School Education, Labour, Sanskrit Education, Transport, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, and Women Welfare.

Eligibility Criteria

Post-Wise Educational Qualification

For most posts (Post Codes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 13, 15), the minimum qualification is a Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India. Specific qualifications for other posts are:

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age as on 1 July 2026 (i.e., born not later than 1 July 2005 and not earlier than 2 July 1984).

Reservation and age relaxation benefits are available only to candidates who are domicile of Uttarakhand.

Salary

Salary varies by post. Most posts (Level-10) carry a pay scale of ₹56,100–1,77,500. State Tax Officer (Level-07) has ₹44,900–1,42,400, and Case Worker (Level-06) has ₹35,400–1,12,400.

Selection Process

The selection process for the UKPSC Combined State Civil Services Recruitment 2026 follows a three-stage process:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective type): This is a screening exam. Its marks are not added to the Main Examination or Interview marks. It consists of two objective-type papers. Paper-2 (General Mental Ability Test) is qualifying only, requiring a minimum of 33% marks. Ranking for qualifying to the Main Examination is based solely on Paper-1 (General Studies) marks. Negative marking applies (1/4th for each wrong answer).
2. Main Examination (Written/Descriptive type): Held at examination centres in Haldwani and Haridwar. Answers must be given entirely in English or entirely in Hindi (Devanagari script) for a given paper.
3. Interview: Candidates successful in the Main Examination must submit an online post-wise preference before the Interview stage.

How to Apply for UKPSC Combined State Civil Services Recruitment 2026

Follow these steps to apply online:

1. Visit the official website psc.uk.gov.in or pscuk.net.in.
2. Navigate to the "How to Apply" link, review Advertisement Details, Important Dates, and instructions.
3. Click "Apply Now" and complete the Registration form with accurate details; create a password and submit.
4. Verify the displayed Basic Information; tick the verification declaration and submit, or edit if needed.
5. After successful Primary Registration, log in using the credentials sent to your registered mobile number and email.
6. Fill in Educational Details (High School, Intermediate, Graduate, and other qualifications) and select the post(s) you are eligible for.
7. Upload your photo and signature as per the specified format, and tick the declaration.
8. Review all filled details carefully, then click the Final Submit button to complete the application.
9. Pay the application fee online via Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI.
10. Take a printout of the completed online application form for future reference.

Note: If an error is found before Final Submission, applicants can go back and edit the form. After Final Submission, no changes are possible except during the separate Edit/Correction window (07–16 October 2026). The mobile number cannot be edited even during this window.

Important Instructions

• Reservation and age relaxation benefits apply only to candidates who are domicile of Uttarakhand.
• Non-domicile candidates in reserved categories can only apply under the Unreserved (General) category.
• Category/sub-category, once claimed in the online application, cannot be changed after final submission.
