The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the UPPSC PCS 2026 notification (Advt. No. A-1/E-1/2026, dated 25 June 2026) for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General/Special Recruitment) Examination 2026. This is a golden opportunity for graduates aspiring to join prestigious Group A and Group B gazetted posts in Uttar Pradesh.

Approximately 500 vacancies are available, with the possibility of increasing or decreasing based on requirements. Eligible candidates aged 21 to 40 years can apply online through the OTR-based system at uppsc.up.nic.in starting from 25 June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria – Qualification & Age Limit for UPPSC PCS 2026

General Educational Qualification

A Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university is the minimum qualification for most posts. Candidates must possess the required qualifications by the last date for submitting the application.

Post-Specific Qualifications (Selected Examples)

• Principal, Government Intermediate College (Boys/Girls): Post Graduate degree + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized) + 3 years continuous regular teaching experience.
• Food Safety Officer: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology/Dairy Technology/Biotechnology/Oil Technology/Agricultural Science/Veterinary Sciences/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology or Post Graduate degree in Chemistry or a degree in Medicine.
• Assistant Prosecution Officer (Transport): Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree + working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

Note: Age relaxation benefits are only for permanent residents (domicile) of Uttar Pradesh.

Application Fee – UPPSC PCS Exam 2026 Category-wise

The non-refundable application fee for the Preliminary Examination varies by category and must be paid online:

For Main Examination: Unreserved/EWS/OBC and candidates of other states pay Rs. 200/- + Rs. 25/- processing = Rs. 225/-. SC/ST of UP pay Rs. 80/- + Rs. 25/- = Rs. 105/-.
