Information for candidates to fill up the Detailed Application Form(DAF)
The written result of the Indian CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2024, held on August 4, 2024, was declared on September 24, 2024. According to the examination rules, all qualified candidates must fill out the Detailed Application Form (DAF) to participate in the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Medical Standard Test (MST). This form will be available on the Union Public Service Commission's website (https://upsconline.nic.in) from October 4, 2024, to October 18, 2024, until 6:00 PM.
Important instructions for filling out the DAF and its submission are also available on the website. Successful candidates are required to log in using their One Time Registration (OTR) details before completing the ONLINE DAF. Candidates are further advised to refer to Examination Notice No. 09/2024-CPF dated April 24, 2024, and the rules of the CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2024, published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) by the Government (Ministry of Home Affairs).
It is important to note that, as per the rules of the CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2024, any delay in the submission of the DAF or supporting documents beyond the prescribed date will not be allowed and will result in the cancellation of the candidature for the CAPF (ACs) Examination-2024.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a total of 506 vacancies for Assistant Commandants (AC) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the year 2024 which includes Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). , Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Shastra Seema Bal (SSB). The online application process started from April 24, 2024 and candidates can apply online till May 14, 2024. Candidates can make corrections in their applications from May 15 to 21, 2024. Age Limit CAPF AC Recruitment 2024:-
The age of the candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the year 2024 by UPSC should be minimum 20 years and maximum 25 years as on August 1, 2024. Candidates will also be given relaxation in upper age limit.
Minimum age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 25 years as on August 1, 2024
Relaxation in upper age limit:-
If the candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST), relaxation will be given up to 5 years.
For Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates, who are entitled to reservation, relaxation will be given up to 3 years.
- Relaxation will be given up to 5 years for civil Central Government employees and up to 5 years for ex-servicemen subject to the existing instructions of the Central Government.
Application Fee CAPF AC Recruitment 2024 :-
Candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (AC) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) by UPSC for 2024 are required to pay the application fee. In this, General / OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200/-, whereas no fee will be charged from Women / SC / ST category candidates. Candidates can make the payment of their application fee by 18:00 hrs of 14.05.2024 only online using Debit/Credit Card/UPI or Internet Banking payment mode.

Educational Qualification CAPF AC Recruitment 2024:-
Candidates must have Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institute who are applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the year 2024. If the result of the qualifying examination is awaited, applicants must submit the result by the last date of application. Also, candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government will also be considered for admission to the examination. Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2024.
Salary CAPF AC Recruitment 2024 :-
Candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) in CAPFs for 2024 by UPSC will be given a monthly salary ranging from Rs 56,100/- to Rs 1,77,500/- as per the posts.
Selection Process CAPF AC Recruitment 2024:-
Candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) in CAPFs for 2024 by UPSC will have to appear in the written examination and physical ability test, and then there will be final merit list and interview of the candidates.
Exam Pattern CAPF AC Recruitment 2024 :-
The selection process for the candidates applying for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) in CAPFs for 2024 by UPSC will be as follows:-
(i) Written Examination – There will be two papers in the written examination to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on August 04, 2024. Paper I will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 Afternoon and Paper II will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Paper – I – General Ability and Intelligence – will be of 250 marks and will have objective (multiple answer) type questions asked in both English and Hindi languages.
Paper – II – General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – will be of 200 marks and candidates will be given the option to write the essay portion in English or Hindi, but summary writing, comprehension portion and other communication/language skills will be in English only.
Article -1. Candidates are informed that in Paper II they should write answers only in that language which is accepted by the Commission. Answers written in other languages will not be given any recognition. Candidates must mention the medium and language of the essay on their answer sheet. They will not get any credit if they mention different language in the attendance list and answer sheet on the answer sheet.
Article - 2. Minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be determined. Paper-I will be evaluated first and Paper-II will be evaluated only for those candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I.
(ii) Physical Standard/Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standard Test:- Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for Physical Standard/Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standard Test. Candidates who satisfy the physical standards prescribed in Appendix-VI will be called for the following physical ability test.
