Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025 (PET-2025) and possess a valid score card.
- A normalized PET-2025 score of zero or negative is not eligible for shortlisting.
- Educational Qualification:
- Intermediate examination with Biology group from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or equivalent (10+2).
- A two-year Pashudhan Prasar Diploma course from a Veterinary University/College established by law.
- Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.
Preferential Qualification: Service in Territorial Army, NCC 'B' certificate, or service in Remount Veterinary Corps.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years as on 1st July of the vacancy advertisement year.
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
- Serving State Government employees get a 5-year relaxation.
Application Fee
- Online Processing Fee: ₹25.00 for all categories.
- No separate application fee, only processing charge.
- A separate main exam fee will be payable by shortlisted candidates.
Salary
Pay Scale: Level-5 in the pay matrix (Minimum ₹29,200 – Maximum ₹92,300).
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a written examination comprising three parts:
- Part-1: Subject Knowledge (Animal Husbandry) - 65 Marks
- Part-2: Computer & Information Technology - 15 Marks
- Part-3: General Information of Uttar Pradesh - 20 Marks
Exam Details: Objective/MCQ type, 2 hours duration, 100 Marks total. Negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
Shortlisting for the main exam will be based on PET-2025 normalized scores.
