Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Civil Servant Recruitment 2026 Notification Out

The District Urban Development Cell, Vijayapura (DC Office) has released a notification for the direct recruitment of 118 Civil Servant (Pourakarmika) posts in Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike. Applications are invited through the offline mode. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications before the deadline.

The notification is for 118 Pourakarmika (civil sanitation worker) posts.

Note: Up to 10 posts are reserved for Manual Scavengers and their family members. If not filled, these will be filled from other categories.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Citizen of India.
• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 50 years as on the notification date.
• Work Experience: At least one year of prior work experience as Pourakarmika, Loader, UGDS Health Worker, Cleaner, or Health Worker on an outsourcing/daily-wage/contract basis in Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike.
• Other Conditions: Mentally and physically fit; knowledge of Kannada language; no criminal record; not dismissed from any government office; not a student. Family members of deceased Pourakarmika on duty are also eligible. Hands-on local field experience in waste management is preferred.

Application Fee

All candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. The fee must be paid at the Municipal Corporation office, and the receipt must be collected and attached to the application.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a priority-based direct recruitment method. There is no written examination. The priority order is as follows:

1. Candidates working as Pourakarmika, Loaders, etc., for at least one year.
2. Family members of Pourakarmika workers who died on duty.
3. Candidates with hands-on experience in waste management, public toilet, and zero waste management units.
4. Identified Manual Scavengers or their family members (up to 10 posts reserved).

Tiebreaker Rule: If service periods are equal, age will be considered. If age is also the same, selection will be by lottery.
